How It All Began
Magic Moments for Autistic Kids grew out of a deeply personal recognition that autistic children and their families often find themselves excluded from the kinds of experiences and opportunities that other children take for granted. The spark came from a desire to change that — to create a space where autistic children could experience joy, connection, and belonging without the barriers they so often face.
What began as a small, community-driven effort quickly took shape into something more formal. In 2024, the charity was officially registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales under charity number 1093679, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the effort to support autistic children.
Why Autistic Kids
Autistic children represent one of the most underserved groups in UK society when it comes to access to meaningful social, recreational, and developmental experiences. Research consistently shows that tailored, inclusive activities can have a profound positive impact on the confidence, communication skills, and overall wellbeing of autistic children.
We set out specifically to address this gap — not with a broad, generic approach, but with a focused, compassionate commitment to the specific needs of autistic children. Every experience we create is designed with their unique sensory, social, and emotional requirements in mind.
What We Have Achieved
Since registering as a charity, Magic Moments for Autistic Kids has taken its first steps toward building the foundations needed to deliver real, lasting impact. We have established our governance structures, registered with the Fundraising Regulator, and begun the process of engaging with families, supporters, and the wider autism community.
Our early fundraising activities — including our online charity raffle — have helped raise awareness of our cause and generated the initial funding needed to move our programmes forward. While we are still in our early stages, we are proud of the foundations we have laid and the support we have already received from our growing community.
Where We Are Going
Looking ahead, Magic Moments for Autistic Kids has ambitious plans to expand our reach and deepen the impact of our work. We are working to develop a range of programmes and experiences that will be available to autistic children and their families across the United Kingdom.
Our goal is to grow our supporter base, build partnerships with other organisations working in the autism space, and ultimately ensure that every autistic child in the UK has access to the magical moments they deserve. With your support, we believe this vision is within reach.
